About the Show
tick, tick… BOOM!
Jon is waiting tables while trying to write the great American musical, but his thirtieth birthday is approaching and the breakthrough he imagined still feels out of reach. His girlfriend wants a different future, his best friend has traded acting for corporate success, and the relentless ticking in Jon’s mind forces him to decide what he is willing to sacrifice for his dream.
Written by Rent creator Jonathan Larson, tick, tick… BOOM! combines an intimate coming-of-age story with a soaring pop-rock score and powerhouse vocal opportunities. This student-directed production captures the exhilarating fear of standing at a crossroads and the courage it takes to choose what matters before time runs out.
