No Exit

Garcin, Inez, and Estelle arrive in a strangely ordinary room in Hell expecting instruments of torture, but none appear. Instead, the door closes behind them, the lights never dim, and each person slowly realizes that the other two have been chosen with devastating precision.

Jean-Paul Sartre’s landmark drama strips away every comforting illusion as its characters probe, provoke, and expose one another. Tense, darkly witty, and psychologically gripping, No Exit turns a single room into an unforgettable pressure chamber and gives new meaning to the famous idea that hell is other people.
