Les Misérables

Released after nineteen years of imprisonment, Jean Valjean struggles to begin again in a society determined to treat him as a criminal. An act of mercy transforms his life, but Inspector Javert’s unwavering pursuit follows Valjean across the years as he keeps a promise to protect the orphaned Cosette.

Their story unfolds alongside workers, students, and families caught in the poverty and unrest of nineteenth-century France, culminating at the barricades of a Paris uprising. Based on Victor Hugo’s novel, Les Misérables is an epic musical about love, sacrifice, justice, and the possibility of redemption in a world marked by suffering.
