Peerless

Asian American twins M and L have built their high-school lives around one goal: admission to an elite college. When a classmate receives the coveted place they believe belongs to them, disappointment quickly becomes obsession, and the sisters decide that removing their rival may be the only way to reclaim the future they planned.

Inspired by Macbeth, Jiehae Park’s dark comedy relocates Shakespearean ambition to the fiercely competitive world of college admissions. Peerless uses sharp humor and escalating consequences to examine entitlement, identity, sibling loyalty, and the human cost of treating achievement as something worth winning at any price.
