About the Show
Almost, Maine
At 8:59 on a cold Friday night, the northern lights appear above Almost, Maine, a place so far north that it is almost in Canada and almost not in the United States. Across the fictional town, ordinary people fall into and out of love through a series of interconnected encounters filled with surprises, misunderstandings, and second chances.
John Cariani’s collection of vignettes gives emotional ideas a playful, sometimes literal life while keeping its characters’ hopes and heartbreaks recognizably human. Warm, funny, and gently magical, Almost, Maine celebrates the risks people take when they try to say what they feel and find their way toward one another.
